Newton

$1,400.00

$1,400 is the cost of the deposit, not the product. The Newton starts at $2,800 USD. Contact me for custom options.

Paying homage to Leo Fender (the father of modern amplification) and Sir Isaac Newton (the father of modern Physics), the Madsen Amplification “Newton” is my take on the classic 5 watt single ended champ.

With an updated layout, tightened power supply, aerospace-grade wiring and a 10" Celestion ceramic Creamback speaker, It's a warm and responsive amp, perfect for plugging directly in or using your favorite pedals. It has vintage soul but with modern refinements.

Tonally the "Newton" was inspired by Julian Lages tone on the albums, Arclight and Live in Los Angeles. You can achieve those great jazz tones with this amp, but it's equally suited for blues and rock as well. For a little tonal versatility the toggle switch allows you to add headroom for humbuckers in the middle position, push the mids in the right position, or have a fuller rounder tone to the left position.

Each handbuilt amp features a full set of vintage tubes.

The Newton can be custom ordered with a variety of custom options.

All amps are custom built one at a time in my Camdenton Missouri workshop. Current lead time is 3-4 months.

Deposit is non refundable unless cancelled within 3 days. Remaining balance due before shipping amp to customer.
